This blog will reflect the progress of my genealogy project(s). I will describe any major changes that I make on my website www.fayewest.ca and I will document how I solved some brick walls.

Fred Misener's family

Ron also sent me a number of photos of Fred Misener and his children. The is also a photo of their house. Those have all been added to the site.

Rufus Dodge

Ron Sherwood, who is related to me (distantly) in several ways including through the Jones, Goodale, and Misener lines, sent me a scan of Rufus Dodge's obituary.  I've added the image, and some additional details to Rufus' page.

Morley Jones

I added Morley's World War I attestation papers.

Regan Family updates

Thanks to Maureen Kirincic and her cousin who set me off on a trail to find more information about John Regan (c1815-1914) and his family.  John's wife, Mary Hamilton, was my gr-gr-grandaunt.

I have found census records for the family for 1861 - 1911 and as a result I think I have all of John Sr's children, probably all of John Jr's children, and at least some of Michael's children.  27 more people!

Irish Updates

This week I received email messages from two distant relatives of my Broder family.  The first, from Harry Coulter in Ireland let me know that, contrary to my assumption, Etta Coulter is alive and recently celebrated her 100th birthday!  Good news!    The second, from Robert Carter in Australia, provided some additional information about Essex Williams, my Gr-grandaunt Julia Broder's husband.

Thanks to Harry and Robert for this additional information.
